Airport Advisory Board

This organization meets monthly to discuss the operations of Sanderson Field and identify development opportunities for the airport. Please click here for the most up-to-date meeting schedule.

As of May 13th we are moving back to IN PERSON meetings at the Airport Terminal.

Meetings are held in the airport terminal at 2144 Meridian Street starting at 8am.

Soo Pilots Association is an affiliate of the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA). Founded in 1985, the Sault Ste. Marie chapter brings pilots, restorators, and aviation enthusiasts together. The Soo Pilots Association EAA Chapter 1437 annually hosts Young Eagles Day and a community movie night and open house at Sanderson Field. The group additionally hosts weekly lunches for members and a holiday party in December. Interested in joining? Soo Pilots is open to anyone with an interest in aviation. Annual dues are $10.00. If you are interested in becoming a member, please contact the airport at (906) 635-0252.

Meetings take place at 7:00 p.m. on the last Monday of the month in the Sanderson Field terminal at 2144 Meridian Street. (or via Zoom during Covid).  Please follow our Facebook page for the meeting links and information.
