The Sanderson Field seaplane base provides pilots with a place to dock their aircraft while exploring the city. Located in Sault Ste. Marie's Rotary Park, the seaplane base is a frequent stop for pilots of both the U.S. and Canada.
A little history:
The seaplane base was crafted in 2010 by pilots from Lake City, Michigan who frequented the area. The dock has since been donated to the city and is regularly used as a checkpoint for customs inspections.
